How to read this

  • This is the official record, and nothing more. Every name and amount is reproduced from the organization’s own return, filed with the IRS and published by the IRS as filed. We make no claim about whether any amount is appropriate.
  • The person named is whoever the organization reported the largest total for. It is not necessarily the chief executive, and on a full Form 990 it is often a highest-paid employee or a key employee rather than an officer.
  • 17 people appear more than once. The amount includes pay from related organizations, so each organization in a group that reports the same person reports the same total, and each is listed with its own return.
  • 3 of these entries name an organization rather than an individual — a management company listed as a manager, for instance. They are marked, because the form permits it and the record should not be smoothed over.
  • An organization that reported paying nobody it listed does not appear here at all. Most filers report zero for everyone, and naming whoever happened to sort first would say something about a private individual that the filing does not.
  • Each row is a different tax year, because organizations file on their own fiscal years, and a filing describes a year that has already ended.
  • If a figure here is wrong, it is wrong on the filing, or we have misread the filing. Either way, tell us and we will log it.
