How the list is drawn

  • 100 of the 308 borrowers ranked in Yancey County are listed: every one ranked in the top 100, with ties. Borrowers approved the same amount share a rank, so the list can be longer than 100.
  • A borrower is ranked here when SBA recorded its first loan in Yancey County. Its amount is summed over every loan it was approved, a first draw, a second or both, and is not what was forgiven or repaid, which each borrower’s page shows loan by loan.
